CancerFree KIDS

CBTS partners with CancerFree Kids whose mission is to eradicate pediatric cancer to fund promising research at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital that may otherwise go unfunded.

The mission of CancerFree KIDS is to eradicate cancer as a life-threatening disease in children by funding promising research that might otherwise go unfunded. The organization supports research by raising money through donations, special events and corporate alliances to make a real difference in the local and national research community. Every year CancerFree KIDS donates the majority of its grant money to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Oncology Research Center.  In the last few years, Nationwide Children’s in Columbus and Miami Children’s Hospital in Florida have been grant recipients as well.  To date, over a million dollars in research grants has been donated, which has led to several patents and patient trials in the battle against pediatric cancer.

CBTS started supporting the organization as the first corporate “Gold Sponsor” in 2008 and has continued at that level ever since.  The CBTS brand and support is associated with every major CancerFree KIDS event throughout the year.  Several of our leadership team members also help volunteer by serving on the board, chairing several committees and supporting events throughout the year.  Corporate support also includes:
  • Donating valuable Reds, Bengals tickets, autographed merchandises, etc. for silent and live auctions throughout the year
  • Providing a sizeable monetary donation each year
  • Supporting employee-lead fundraising events by donating radio advertising time
  • Sponsoring events such as the Home Run Club with the Reds
  • Supporting the IT equipment and service needs of the organization
  • Supporting marketing such as signage in several places inside Great American Ball Park
  • Getting local celebrities to help officiate fundraising events
