CBTS' BYOD Strategy for Education

CBTS helps education institutions create a BYOD strategy based on the underlying goals.

Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) is one of the hottest IT topics in education and business in 2012. CBTS learned after a great deal of research and surveys that there are few experts in this field because the concept is still in its early stages. The educators who have been involved are adamant in their opinions either for or against it. Arguments both for and against have merits.
In reality, administrators, faculty, and students are already using multiple devices today, including mobile devices, for all types of communications and learning both inside and outside the classroom. The users are comfortable with the devices they own and have learned how to use them effectively for their purposes. Mobile devices in particular are used many times each day for research, communication, and other knowledge-based functions by students and faculty alike.
